Heather DePinho is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing virtual therapy to all residents across California. Drawing from deep personal experience, Heather specializes in helping Young Adults (20s-40s) and Couples navigate the complexities of life transitions and relational friction. She focuses on addressing issues of chronic self-doubt, low self-worth, and painful relationship cycles, helping clients build profound resilience and acceptance.

Heather practices from a deeply humanistic and person-centered approach, recognizing that her clients are the ultimate experts in their own lives and relationships. As a therapist, she joins alongside her clients to gain clarity, identify unhelpful patterns, and create essential space for change. Utilizing the powerful frameworks of Attachment Theory and Family Systems Theory, her goal is to heal attachment wounds and create genuine safety in relationships—both with the self and with others.

Heather is committed to providing trauma-informed care with every client. She understands how past or current trauma (including chronic stress, emotional distress, or painful relationship cycles) can affect present behavior, emotions, and relationships. She integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) principles to explore core attachment fears with extreme sensitivity and regulation, collaboratively empowering clients to form a holistic view of their symptoms and strengthen their inner resources.

As someone who has personally navigated the challenging hormonal landscape of PMDD and struggled with chronic self-doubt and low self-worth, Heather understands exactly how limiting painful shame cycles and deep friction in our most important relationships can feel. Her own journey was a calling to help others; it helped her develop resilience, embrace her humanity, and learn how to be vulnerable and show up as her most authentic self. She is passionate about helping people uncover the strength within, know their inherent self-worth, and build meaningful, secure connections.

Heather earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Her experience working with high-achieving individuals gives her a keen understanding of the pressures of comparison in a digital age and the pervasive difficulties related to anxiety, stress management, and low self-esteem. She particularly enjoys supporting clients in the Young Adulthood phase (20s-40s), including those navigating college or early career challenges, and working with Couples seeking greater connection and security.

Originally drawn to the sunshine and sandy walks of the California coast, Heather still resides in the Orange County community with her partner. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, sharing a home-cooked meal, exploring local hiking trails, and traveling to new destinations.
