ABOUT LINDSAY

Lindsay Hafer is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing in-person therapy to children, teens, and families in Pasadena, as well as virtual therapy across California. She specializes in supporting young people navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, and relational challenges, helping them build emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence in themselves.

Lindsay understands that when a child or teen is struggling, it impacts the entire family system. She works collaboratively with both clients and parents to create meaningful, sustainable change, supporting children in developing practical coping skills while strengthening communication and connection at home.

Her approach is warm, engaging, and developmentally attuned. Lindsay integrates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She also incorporates play therapy, art, and creative interventions to meet each child where they are. She believes therapy should feel both supportive and approachable, creating a space where young clients feel safe to express themselves and build skills in a way that feels natural and empowering.

Lindsay is committed to providing trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming care, creating a space where all clients feel safe and supported. She brings an upbeat, genuine presence to her work, balancing compassion with gentle directness to help clients move through challenges and toward meaningful growth.

Lindsay completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education at UCLA. She then earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from USC and is currently working toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Her experience supporting clients navigating severe trauma and substance use informs her practical, compassionate approach to helping clients regulate emotions and move toward a life aligned with their values. She has worked with children, adolescents, and families across a range of concerns and is deeply committed to this work.

Based in Los Angeles, Lindsay enjoys spending time with friends, family, and cat Theo, cooking, exploring creative outlets like art and crafts, and getting outside whenever she can.
