Motherhood can bring profound love and meaning—but also overwhelm, self-doubt, and pressure to “do it all.” Many parents find themselves caught between striving to be the “perfect” mother and feeling like they’re falling short. This supportive and empowering workshop is designed for mothers who want to navigate the emotional complexities of parenting with greater ease, compassion, and intention. Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindful self-compassion, this workshop will guide you in developing present-moment awareness, making space for difficult emotions without judgment, and responding to yourself with kindness rather than criticism. You’ll learn how to gently unhook from unhelpful thoughts, clarify what truly matters to you as a parent, and take meaningful, values-aligned action—even in the midst of stress, guilt, or uncertainty. Through a combination of psychoeducation and experiential practices—including mindfulness exercises, self-compassion practices, and values-based reflections—you’ll build psychological flexibility and reconnect with the kind of parent you want to be.

“Dr. Cook’s seminar was the best use of an hour I’ve ever spent on the topic of well-being. I’m still referencing some of the themes that she brought up. Lauren was engaging, even in a digital format, and had a style that was welcomed across the globe. I highly recommend her.”
